Apollo came into the shelter very thin and covered in almost 200 ticks. Apollo attracted the attention of DFW German Shepherd Rescue and Judy Hoyle and her husband Kerry decided to take their first plunge into fostering Apollo. At first, Apollo seemed spiritless & depressed when he first entered their lives. However, Apollo soon began to develop curiosity for his new life at his foster home with the Hoyle family. Now Apollo engages in play, wags his tail, and enjoys a game of chase. He is now described as a thief (he steals socks) with a zest for life. Apollo is treat motivated, easily trainable, and walks on the leash well. Thanks to about 30 people from the shelters and DFW GSR, Apollo has a second chance at becoming a great addition to a family.
