Our Board of Directors:
Karen is a CPA by trade but an animal lover at heart. A longtime contributor to many DFW animal and welfare charities and organizations, Karen was also a Tarrant County Child Advocate for five years. She has regularly volunteered at the Arlington, TX Animal Shelter since 2011 and has since founded Sponsor Adoptions, Inc. Her passion is seeing adoptable animals go to good homes by fostering the adoption process and spreading the word about available animals.
Janie has been passionate about animals since she was young, having grown up with dogs her entire life. She is a stay-at-home mom to two children and two dogs. She is married, has lived in Arlington for nine years and is the co-founder of Partners of Arlington Animal Services, a Facebook social networking page. The volunteer page networks, educates and gives shelter pets exposure and second chances of finding life outside the shelter. In her spare time, Janie volunteers at the Arlington, TX Animal Shelter cleaning kennels and assisting and educating potential adopters.
Michelle has been an animal lover all of her life. Being raised with dogs and horses who wouldn’t be? She works as an administrator on the Partners of Arlington Animal Services Facebook page and volunteers at the Arlington, TX Animal Shelter in the adoptions area. She loves matching adopters with the right furry family member. Michelle says one of her favorite aspects of volunteering is spending time with animals featured on the PAAS page and seeing their personalities shine once they have been rescued.
Sharon Kelly has had a love for animals that started at a very young age and determined what direction her life would go in. Living in rural Texas afforded her the opportunity to ‘rescue’ many animals –thankfully she had tolerant parents. Sharon attended college in Boston studying veterinary medicine. Sharon started her life of fostering while in school by being a foster parent for unweaned puppies through the Humane Society. Sharon now lives in Arlington with her husband, two children and a myriad of animals. Over 100 fosters later and Sharon has found her niche by having the honor of serving on the board of Sponsor Adoptions.
